The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is a membership-based organisation.
Being a Member of the RAS means being a member of a community that understands, values and practically supports regional and rural agricultural families and communities who are dedicated to excellence in agricultural sustainability and to award-quality produce.

Applies to individuals who live in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan region, aged 26 years and over.

Applies to individuals aged 26 years and over who live outside the Greater Sydney Metropolitan area.
To qualify you must live within regions bounded by the postcodes: 0000-0950; 2250-2554; 2575-2739; 2787-9999. This includes interstate and overseas residents.

For individuals aged 18 - 25 years inclusive. Please note: If you are currently 24 or 25 years of age, you will be ineligible to enrol for three-year membership.

Applies to Members who have maintained a consecutive Membership with the RAS of NSW for 40 years OR who have reached 70 years of age and have maintained Membership for 25 consecutive years. Members are notified when they qualify. Long Standing Membership includes one (1) complimentary Guest card, and the Member may purchase up to two (2) additional Guest cards.
Membership is not transferable.

Applies to an invitation-only group developed to create a network of like-minded, passionate people who are committed to improving agriculture in Australia and the Show movement.

A City or Country Member may purchase a maximum of three (3) Guest cards per year. Guest cards cannot be purchased by a Junior Member. These cards allow full access to the Sydney Royal Easter Show and Members’ facilities.

2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show
22 March - 2 April 2024
During the 12-day event, RAS Members receive the following privileges*
- Unlimited Sydney Royal Easter Show entry
- Travel on public transport is included to and from the Show between
22 March and 2 April 2024 inclusive. - Access to Members’ dining and entertainment areas
- Members' only seating in GIANTS Stadium and Woodchop Stadium
- Ability to purchase Guest Cards
- Option to purchase Member Reserve wristbands and One Day Royals to bring along family and friends
- Ability to pre-purchase parking in P1 for the Show
- Members' only assistance and facilities
- Buggy transport for less mobile Members
- 10% discount in the Hordern Café (excluding hot breakfast) and Members' Bar
Membership provides Honorary Membership at select Interstate Royals. When you buy a regular price ticket on the first day of an interstate royal show, you are eligible for an Honorary Member Pass for the remainder of the show!
To claim reciprocal privileges:
Members (and a guest where applicable) pay to enter the show on their first day. This admission fee is not refundable.
Report to Membership Administration Office with proof of interstate membership and proof of identity.
One Honorary Member pass (or two if accompanied by a guest), or equivalent, will be given for the duration of the Show.

Facilities include a conference room, BBQ facilities, a pool, a gym and our in-house restaurant. We specialise in looking after large groups that come to the city to experience all the great events that the RAS host all year round.
RAS members will receive a 10% discount 365 days a year, a free Continental Breakfast for every day that they stay at the Motel and a priority reservation for one of our newly renovated rooms when available.

You ran renew your membership online or return your renewal slip by post with your payment.
The RAS Membership year runs from 01 October to 30 September.
Membership fees are payable on or before 30 September of that Membership year. Renewals will be posted out in early September. If an email address is supplied, the renewal will be emailed.
Membership is valid for the card holder only however members may purchase a transferable guest card which includes Show entry and access to Members’ facilities for the duration of the Show. A maximum of 3 guest cards can be purchased per member. Longstanding Members may purchase a maximum of 2 guest cards.

A Junior Member must be between the ages of 4 - 17 years inclusive.
If a Junior is 16 or 17 years of age, they are unable to renew or take out a 3 year membership. The annual subscription fee will apply.
Member and guest card(s), if applicable will be posted prior to the Show.
Please note: we are unable to send your Member card and any applicable guest cards within 3 weeks of the Sydney Royal Easter Show. For renewals and new applications received within 3 weeks of the Show, cards will need to be collected.
RAS Members that take out a 3 year membership will receive a new Member card each year.

Members can purchase One Day Royals or Members Reserve wristbands.
The One Day Royal wristband includes Show entry and access into Members areas on any ONE day of the Show. Wristband must be worn to gain entry. Entry is subject to capacity. Not transferable. Dress regulations apply. Click here to purchase.
Members Reserve wristbands allows your guest access to Members areas. Wristband must be worn to gain entry. Entry is subject to capacity. Not transferable. Does not include Show entry. Dress regulations apply. Wristbands can be purchased from the Members Info Tower (located at the rotunda adjacent to the Members/VIP Show Entry) and in the Members Stand in GIANTS Stadium during Show.
Should you misplace your member or guest card, please contact us immediately. A replacement fee applies.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, cheque or money order, made payable to the RAS of NSW.
Please note: personal cheques will not be accepted during Show.

A member must attain either 40 consecutive years of membership or have reached 70 years of age and attained 25 consecutive years of membership. Members are notified by the RAS when they qualify for this type of Membership.
If you live in the City, but have agricultural holdings and are able to claim as a Primary Producer through taxation, then you are eligible to apply for Country membership. The Primary Producer status document must be supplied each year you renew your Membership.
RAS Membership cards, guest cards and One Day Royal wristbands include travel on public transport to and from the Show between 6 April and 17 April 2023 inclusive. For further information visit transportnsw.info
A Youth Member must be between the ages of 18 - 25 years inclusive.
If a Youth is 24 or 25 years of age, they are unable to renew or take out a 3 year membership. The annual subscription fee will apply.
The AGM is held on the evening prior to the start of the Royal Easter Show. All members may attend the AGM providing their subscription is paid at least four weeks prior to the start of the Royal Easter Show.

Time in the Members Areas is special. Appropriate smart casual clothing is a key part of the experience for all Members and their guests. Please read the following RAS dress regulations before you visit. Dress regulations apply to all Members and their guests 14 years of age and above. Those not dressed appropriately will be denied access or asked to leave. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
The following items of clothing are not considered acceptable:

Thongs (a shoe is considered a thong if it has two straps which connect in between the first and second toes – including Havaianas, Birkenstocks and similar scuffs)

Dirty or dilapidated footwear (including torn, mud-caked or damaged boots)

Industrial gumboots

Revealing, untidy or inappropriate clothing including shorts/skirts of an inappropriate length (mid-length dress shorts are acceptable for both men and women)

Torn or ripped clothing including jeans (even if ‘designer’ tears)

Tracksuit pants or gym attire (including crop tops and racer back singlets)

Men’s singlet tops

Clothing emblazoned with indecent pictures and/or language
Anyone not dressed appropriately will be refused entry or asked to leave.
Children under the age of 14 years should be neatly attired.
