Australia's best produce put to the test as the 2025 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show gets underway

Posted on 12 August 2025

Over the next three weeks, some of Australia’s best oils, meats, dips, pastas, baked goods and more will be assessed by a range of industry experts as the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show kicks off at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.

Encouraging the continued growth of the Australian food and beverage industry, the competitions offer producers the chance to benchmark their products against peers and be recognised for delivering exceptional products.

Judged on factors such as presentation, flavour profiles, and more, each entry will be assessed by a panel of judges and given a score. Depending on the score given, the product may be awarded a gold, silver, or bronze medal.

All gold medals are then put forward for further champion medal judging, and the best of the best are chosen, with 39 champion trophies up for grabs across the show.

Champion trophies to be awarded include Branded Meat Grand Champion, Champion Salami, Champion Plant-Based Product, Champion Coffee, Champion Pasta and Champion Cake, to name a few.

Judging will take place from 12-29 August, with Champion Awards announced on 10 September. All entered products must consist of at least 85% Australian-grown ingredients, reinforcing our commitment to championing local agriculture.
