Cavy

‘Cavy’ or Cavia Porcellus is the correct scientific name for the popular companion animal we know as the Guinea Pig.

These gentle, social creatures who make wonderful pets are celebrated each year during the Sydney Royal Cavy Show, which in conjunction with the NSW Cavy Club Inc promotes and acknowledges excellence in breeding.

The Show offers Exhibitors the unforgettable experience of showcasing their cavy at the Sydney Royal, meeting other passionate owners and breeders and speaking with the public about responsible pet ownership.
