2010 - Charles (Charlie) Shearer  

Charlie Shearer was a long-time dairy cattle exhibitor and also a poultry exhibitor. He was awarded honorary life membership of the RAS in 2003. Charlie proposed the introduction of breed captains in 1970 and served as Holstein breed captain. An experienced RES judge, he was also heavily involved with Holstein Youth and has conducted dairy cattle junior judging schools in many parts of Australia. Throughout his career, Charlie has been active in various dairy industry and dairy cattle organisations and was declared the RES Show Legend of 2010.
