Victorian Sterling Silver Spoon Warmer in the shape of a nautilus shell with plain decoration, standing on a rocky base with a hinged and rising lid, made in London 1892 by silversmiths John Aldwinckle & James Slater. The base is Brazilian mahogany finished in ebonized French polish, made in Launceston by Peter Collenette The Watt Family have long been associated with the Royal Agricultural Society, Charles Watt was elected to Council in 1868. Charles' Great Grandson, Peter also served on Council from 1995-2009. The extended family continuously maintained a strong relationship with the Society. The Watt Family provided prize money for the Best Photograph in Show in the five years leading up to the establishment of the Perpetual Trophy.
