Hand chased silver-plated cup with a laurel wreath on one side. Includes a lid and mahogany plinth with an integrated plinth band. First awarded in 2022 to honour the stallion ‘Magnum Skipper’ who was bred, raced and exhibited at the Sydney Royal Easter Show by John Smith and Jane Nelson. Magnum Skipper won the led stallion class at the Sydney Royal every year from 1994 to 2004 and John and Jane were awarded most successful exhibitors for 15 consecutive years. Skipper was also a successful race horse, in 1991 winning the prestigious Fosters Sires Stakes at Harold Park Paceway becoming the highest winning prize money winner in Australasia that year. He was retired to Magnum Lodge for stud duties and was cared for until his death in 2015 at 28 years of age.
