Sterling silver cup featuring hand chased design representing seven meat-sheep breeds. Note that these are the breeds farmed at Tattykeel over the years.
Awarded For: Awarded for the Best Pair, consisting of the Grand Champion ram and ewe of each sheep breed exhibited in the Meat & Dual Purpose Sheep Section (to be judged on breed qualities with particular emphasis on carcase shape).
Donated By: Mavis and John Gilmore founded the Tattykeel Meat Sheep Stud. They started showing Dorset Horns and Poll Dorsets at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for sheep in 1975. Over the years, Tattykeel expanded to exhibiting Border Leicester, White Suffolk, Texel and White Dorper sheep. Tattykeel is the only meat sheep stud to continually exhibit at every Sydney Royal Easter Show since 1975. Donated by Graham, Ian and Martin Gilmore and first presented in 2011.
