Donated By: Donated by Peggy Stone and first presented in 2012. Dick Stone was a Councillor of the RAS of NSW and chairman of the Meat Committee between 1992 and 1997. He ran the Steer and Carcase Competition for his full term as Councillor. Before becoming a Councillor he judged the carcase competition for many years. He organised the butcher shop at the Show from the mid-1960s until the move to Homebush and he worked with the Meat Industry of NSW to create the first of the taste test competitions. He was President of the Meat and Allied Trade Federation for 20 years. Dick Stone first produced his own branded beef "Oakleigh Barley Fed Beef" in 1968. Awarded for Grand Champion Grain Fed Beef until 2017 when the award was changed to Grand Champion Beef Exhibit.
