Donated By: The David Archibald Memorial Trophy had been an annual trophy for many years. The perpetual trophy was donated by the Archibald Family and first presented in 1996. Ms Ester Bellis was commissioned by the family to design a sculpture of "Nabinabah Breesette", a horse owned by Bobby Palmer and bred by Mr Archibald. Mr Archibald bred many famous horses that distinguished themselves on the rodeo grounds and polo fields of Australia.
