The Royal Agricultural Society Farm Day Excursions are an interactive and immersive, hands-on experience, tailored by educators specifically for the STEM curriculum for both primary and secondary students. Building on the strong educational legacy of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, these Farm Days continue a tradition of connecting students with real-world agriculture in meaningful ways.
Aligned with syllabus outcomes, Farm Day excursions address food and fibre production, sustainable agriculture, and climate and environmental outcomes in a practical, engaging setting. Students move beyond theory, exploring how these concepts come to life on the farm while deepening their understanding of key curriculum areas across Science and Technology, Geography, and Agriculture.
Farm Days champion the benefits of experiential and multisensory learning, giving students the opportunity to see, touch, and engage directly with their environment. These rich, hands-on experiences create valuable “sensory bookmarks,” helping students anchor their STEM discoveries in ways that are both memorable and impactful.
