Rodeo & Campdraft

The Sydney Royal Rodeo & Campdraft competitions at the Sydney Royal Easter Show showcase the skill, partnership and athleticism of Australia’s top horse and rider teams. The Wrangler Federation Rodeo Challenge features Bull Ride, Bareback, Saddle Bronc and Steer Wrestling across competitive rounds, with APRA national ranking points and cash prizes contributing to the prestige of the event. The World Championship Campdraft Competition, under Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft & Rodeo Association rules, tests horsemanship and cattle handling over a demanding course, with winners earning the Schmidt Family “Argyle” Perpetual Trophy and boosting their national standing. Together, these events combine tradition, excitement and elite competition, ensuring Rodeo & Campdraft remain a major highlight at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
