The Sydney Royal Rat & Mouse Show at the Sydney Royal Easter Show is one of Australia’s most distinctive and engaging small animal competitions, welcoming exhibitors from across the country. Judging is based on breed standards, appearance and health, with classes for both rats and mice including Conformation, Standard, Long Coat, Rex, Manx and Hairless varieties, plus a range of categories for coat texture and markings. Top awards include Grand Champion Rat and Mouse in Show, as well as Champion and Reserve titles. The program also features Pet, Junior Exhibitor and Breeder Group classes, plus awards for Best Display, offering opportunities for both experienced breeders and newcomers. Self-administered by the NSW Fancy Rodent Society Inc., the Sydney Royal Rat & Mouse Show promotes education, responsible ownership and excellence in fancy rodent breeding.
