Rural and remote high schools encouraged to apply for 4-day all-expenses-paid trip to the Sydney Royal Easter Show
POSTED ON 17 September 2025

Rural and remote high schools across New South Wales will have the unique opportunity to apply for a fully funded trip to the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show (the Show), as the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) opens applications for its All Roads to the Royal program. Now in its sixth year, the program aims to connect rural youth with Australia’s largest agricultural event by offering a four-day, behind-the-scenes immersive tour of the iconic Show, thanks to the support of the RAS Foundation. The tour focuses on agricultural education and show engagement, giving students the chance to network with industry leaders, learn about produce and livestock judging, and explore everything the Show has to offer—from exhilarating rides to iconic show food. “The All Roads to the Royal program was created to help bridge the gap between high school students located in rural and remote areas and the opportunities available at the Sydney Royal Easter Show,” said RAS Head of Agricultural Development, Paige Cape. “Our goal for the program is to provide more than just a school excursion; it’s about igniting students' passion for agriculture, showcasing the opportunities available within the industry and giving them a chance to get a foot in the front door.” Over the past six years, All Roads to the Royal has provided over 200 students from Coolah, Lake Cargelligo, Tottenham, Bowraville, Trundle and Narromine access to the Show. Applications for the 2025 All Roads to the Royal program are now open and will close on Monday, 3 November 2025. The 2025 All Roads to the Royal program will run from Tuesday, 7 to Friday, 10 April, and will include transport to and from Sydney, accommodation, access to the event and meals. The selected school must be in a rural and/or remote school as determined by the Department of Education. The 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show will take place over 12 days from 2 – 13 April 2025.
