The Scarecrow Competition is a colourful feature of the Sydney Royal Easter Show, celebrating imagination, craftsmanship and fun. Held in the Flower & Garden Pavilion, it invites creators of all ages to design and build their own scarecrows – from traditional straw-filled figures to modern artistic interpretations. Each entry reflects the maker’s personality and creativity, contributing to the vibrant spirit of the Pavilion. Open to everyone, the competition encourages connection, community participation and a shared appreciation for this iconic symbol of the harvest.
