The Sydney Royal Cattle Show at the Sydney Royal Easter Show is one of Australia’s most distinguished livestock competitions, attracting exhibitors from across the country to present up to six breeds of dairy cattle and over thirty breeds of beef cattle. The program features the Beef Cattle Competition, Dairy Cattle Competition, Purebred Steer & Carcase Competition, Trade Hoof & Carcase Competition, and youth events including the Paraders’ and Young Auctioneers competitions. Exhibits are judged independently on quality, performance and presentation, with youth competitions designed to foster future industry leaders. The program highlights excellence in livestock and genetics, making the Sydney Royal Cattle Show a benchmark for achievement in the Australian cattle industry.

The Young Judges Competition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show showcases the skill and knowledge of emerging agricultural experts. Held in partnership with AgShows NSW, The Australian Stock Horse Society, and the Australian Pony Stud Book Society, the event welcomes competitors from across New South Wales and beyond to judge livestock, produce and agricultural products in a live setting.
Each year, every Show Society in NSW has the chance to nominate a deserving individual who has made a meaningful contribution to their Show Society. We encourage all Shows to complete the application to help us recognise and celebrate the invaluable role that regional Agricultural Shows play—not only in advancing Australian agriculture, but also in strengthening their local communities.
