Imported Dogs In order to enter your imported dog, you must contact contact the Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org for an entry form once entries open. Breed Stalls If your club is interested in holding a Breed Stalls please contact the Coordinator at email@example.com . Breed Clubs and Breeders are free to participate in the ONE day promotion. Breed Stalls at the Sydney Royal are a great chance to promote and advertise your breed, as well as educate the public about responsible pet ownership. Exhibitor Manual All Exhibitors are issued with an Exhibitor Manual. This will be posted out after the final closing dates. The Exhibitor Manual contains information relevant to Exhibitor's time on site and their specific Competition. It covers topics such as precinct access, entry passes and paperwork required, parking and passes, arrival and access times, event details and information, loading and unloading details and Exhibitor amenities. Parking Parking for Dog Exhibitors is in car park P5A, which is located on the corner of Bennelong Road and Holker Street. Car park P5A is accessible 24 hours. The Parking Pass is only valid for the date displayed on the pass. Disabled parking is available in car park P5 to any drivers displaying the standard disability stickers required for any parking area. There is no need for additional passes or tickets. Exhibitors are required to return to the Showground by foot along Holker Street and Australia Avenue and re-enter the Showground through the Exhibit Entry Gate 10 upon producing a One-Day Entry Pass. Bump In Benching of exhibits commences at 6.30am daily. The pavilion will not be open before 6.30am each morning. Exhibitors are reminded that it is a condition of entry that exhibits must be benched during the following hours: Breed Classes: 9.00am to 5.00pm Obedience Classes: 8.00am to TBC Agility Classes: 7:30am to 5.00pm Handlers Classes: 9.00am to 5.00pm Bump Out Dogs may not be removed from the Howie Complex before 5pm unless in exceptional circumstances, authorised in writing from the Cheif Steward only. This is a condition of entry for Sydney Royal and must be ahered to. There will be an announcement made concerning the time and order of departure each day. Exhibitors will be advised when they are permitted to collect their vehicles from the P5 car park. They should return to P5 car park by foot and drive to the Showground via the same route as per the morning drop off to the parking area (via Hill Road, Marjorie Jackson Parkway and Australian Avenue). The collection area is the same as the morning drop off area, and is accessible between 5pm and 6pm daily. Security staff will be on duty directing Exhibitors to ensure the delivery and collection of Exhibits is conducted in a safe and timely manner. All instructions provided by our security staff MUST be followed. Your patience and cooperation with our security staff is appreciated. Drivers must not leave their vehicles unattended.
Meet the judges of the 2020 ADVANCE™ Sydney Royal Dog Show Walter Jungblut (Germany) Toy Group (less Affenpinschers, Italian Greyhounds, Miniature Pinschers, Pomeranians, Pugs & Tibetan Spaniels) & Toy Group Specials, Terrier Group Breeds & Terrier Group Specials. We welcome Walter to Sydney Royal Show for his very first assignment in Australia. One of Germany’s foremost Terrier specialists, Walter Jungblut has been involved with Fox Terriers since 1975 when he first joined the German club. He has produced five World winners, and many European winners, with his dogs winning the Terrier group 35 times, and several times winning Best in Show All Breeds at CACIB shows. He has been Exhibition Director at both the Fox Terrier Club, and the Terrier Club in Germany. He has been a breed warden for all Terrier breeds, and taught others to perform the task, and has also been involved in teaching Terrier judges. Walter began his career as a member of the jury in 1987 and worked from 2006 to 2019 as a jury member at major exhibitions throughout Europe and at five world exhibitions. Currently he is admitted as a jury member for the FCI groups 3, 4 and 9 and admitted to Black Russian Terriers. He is also admitted to the Breeders Groups, Progeny Groups Competition and Junior Handling and Best in Show at National and International dog shows. DR Niksa Lemo (Croatia) Toy Group (Pugs & Tibetan Spaniels), Working Dog Group Breeds & Working Dog Group Specials, Non-Sporting Group (less All Poodles & French Bulldogs) & Non-Sporting Group Specials. This is Dr Lemo’s first appointment at Sydney Royal, where he will also be judging all breeds allocated to him this year for the very first time in this country. Dr Lemo is an international championship dog show judge and has judged at many national and international dog shows on all six continents. He was licensed to judge in January 1992 for his first breed, the Doberman Pinscher. To date, he has judged all groups and Best In Show competitions, as well as the final of many junior handling competitions. He has been invited to judge at the most prestigious shows, such as the World Dog Show, the European Dog Show, Westminster (USA), Eurasia and many national specialties of various breeds throughout the world. Dr Lemo is a university professor and board certified veterinary dermatologist (ECVD). He teaches veterinary dermatology and canine science at Zagreb University. He conducts the seminars for student judges, judges and breeders. Dr Lemo is currently a full professor and head of the clinical division of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Zagreb. Dr Lemo breeds Miniature Schnauzers (black and salt and pepper). He has also owned, co-owned and/or shown Dobermans, Pugs, Standard Schnauzers, German Shorthair Pointers, Tibetan Mastiffs and Tibetan Spaniels. DR John Reeve Newson (Canada) Gundog Group (less English Springer Spaniels & Golden Retrievers) & Gundog Group Specials, Hound Group (All Dachshunds), Utility Group (less Alaskan Malamutes & Siberian Huskies) & Utility Group Specials, Non-Sporting Group (All Poodles & French Bulldogs). Dr John Reeve-Newson is one of Canada’s Top Judges, being very much in demand world-wide. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1964. He was the founder, and is still, the CEO of the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Clinic Partnership of Toronto, the first veterinary emergency clinic established in Canada. After graduation, John practiced in Chicago for two years then returned to Toronto and established The Animal Clinics One and Two, where he is still in active practice. With the late Dr Richard Meen, they established Kishniga Kennels in 1971. In partnership they have bred group and BIS winning Dobermans, Old English Sheepdogs, Skye Terriers, French Bulldogs, Borzoi and Harriers. They have also owned and exhibited group and BIS winning Lakeland Terriers, Norwich Terriers, Standard Poodles, Scottish Deerhounds, American Foxhounds and Whippets. An All Breeds Judge he has officiated at shows in Canada, USA, Mexico, China, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Belgium, Holland, Columbia, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain, Venezuela, Uruguay and Portugal. He has had the honour of judging at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City on seven occasions, including the Hound Group at the 2004 show and the Terrier group in 2015. We welcome back Dr John Reeve-Newson with his wealth of experience to Sydney Royal, where he last judged in 2006. RICARDO TORRE-SIMOES (BRAZIL) Toy Group (Affenpinschers, Italian Greyhounds, Miniature Pinschers & Pomeranians), Gundog Group (English Springer Spaniels & Golden Retrievers), Hound Group (less All Dachshunds) & Hound Group Specials, Utility Group (Alaskan Malamutes & Siberian Huskies). We welcome back Ricardo to Sydney Royal, where he will be judging all breeds allocated to him this year for the very first time in this country. Ricardo Torre-Simões has had many years of activities in the sport as a breeder, exhibitor and judge, and with a long-term involvement in the dog fanciers’ community. Owner of Masquer’s Kennels, his breeds are Boxers, German Shepherd Dogs and Pugs. He has been active for many years with show administration being past President of Santos Kennel Club, President of Boxer Club Paulista, President of Boxer Club do Brasil, President of the Brazilian Boxer Council, and presently is the Chairman of the Judges Committee of the CBKC - Brazil Kennel Club, and member of the FCI Judges Commission, and FCI Show Commission. Ricardo has been an FCI All Breeds Judge since 1971. He lived in London for many years and moved to Florida where he became an AKC regular judge #7273 for Boxers, Dobermans, Akitas and Rottweilers. He has actively judged for almost 50 years now, with assignments in different countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Australia. Ricardo presently splits his time between Brazil and Portugal and he is licensed by CBKC - the Brazil Kennel Club.
