Why did you enter the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show?

Hunt and Brew disrupts the category of flavoured milk, bringing something different and innovative to a market which was all very much the same. Hunt and Brew offers Premium and health conscious consumers an alternative to regular flavoured milk, with no added sugar. We have kept it simple, offering specialty grade coffee cut with fresh full cream milk. We entered the Sydney Royal Show as we felt there was an opportunity to highlight the work behind the brand and the final product, and are very passionate about the success it has had with its launch to the market so far.

What does winning a Championship mean to you and your business?

Hunt and Brew is focused on making specialty coffee more available. Our work began on doing the classics better with our single origin cold brew coffee range cut with fresh full cream milk and no added sugar. We pride ourselves on quality and providing consumers with a fresh milk product vs UHT milk. We are constantly on the hunt for new ways of preparing and serving coffee to push the boundaries of what people know as the status quo of great coffee. Wining these awards highlights the ability to have a ready to drink specialty coffee which is more accessible to consumers through retail locations. It is great to be able to celebrate the hard work behind these wins both internally as well as with our customers.

Is this your first Championship win?

Hunt and Brew has been fortunate enough to win Gold and Silver in the 2018 Sydney Royal show, however 2019 marks the first year for a championship win for the Brand at this show.

Do you have any interesting news stories about your business/product or any fun facts consumers may find fascinating?

  • Hunt and Brew has 3 variants of single origin cold brew coffee. Our coffee is sourced sustainably and fully traceable, showcasing the characteristics of the amazing single origin regions of Honduras, Brazil and Colombia.

  • Hunt and Brew was fortunate to be awarded winner of "Best new Brand and Business" and finalist in the "Best Coffee Category" at the World Beverage Innovation awards late last year (2018).

  • The geometric animal(s) on pack represent the hunter of the region we source our coffee from and were created by world-renowned illustrator Kerby Rosanes.

  • Hunt and Brew collaborated with international creative director Jarrad Seng, an ex-Aussie survivor contestant, who returned to the origin of our Brazilian Coffee in the Cerrado region of Brazil. He was tasked in capturing the coffee farms, environment, landscape and people who grow our coffee.

  • Hunt and Brew won the 2018 Sydney Design Award for packaging.

  • Hunt and Brew won silver at the FAB awards in London for Packaging Design effectiveness category.

How do you use the Sydney Royal medal artwork or promote your win through your marketing efforts?

We showcase the awards Hunt and Brew win internally, as well as through trade presenters which are shared with our customers.

How long have you been entering the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show?

Hunt and Brew is still a relatively young brand, being in the market just under 2 years. 2018 was the first year that we entered into the Sydney Royal show where we were fortunate to have won Gold and Silver for 2 of our Hunt and Brew variants, Honduras and Brazil. 2019 marks our first Championship win at these awards.
