Why did you enter the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show?

We enter the show every year as we love to support this event. It gives us the opportunity to bench mark our cheeses against others in the industry. The event itself if professionally run and as such is easy to enter, we love that gives prompt results. We
believe that it is one of the more prestigious shows held throughout the year.

What does winning a Championship mean to you and your business?

Winning a championship at this show is a great thrill. We can use the awards to promote our products though social media. Our wholesalers also use this awards as a marketing tool. It is also extremely satisfying to know that our products are of high
quality, and are ranking with the top cheeses within the Australian Dairy Industry. We are proud to bring our awards home to South Gippsland and do our region proud.

Is this your first Championship win?

This is not our first championship, including the Australian Cheeseboard Perpetual Trophy we are proud to have won over 20 championships.

Do you have any interesting news stories about your business/product or any fun facts consumers may find fascinating?

Our business was established in 2007. Prior to this Barry, our cheese maker who had been in the industry for 40 years, had not made blue cheese. This is now our benchmark style and is highly awarded. We manufacture in South Gippsland Victoria from a factory overlooking Corner Inlet and Wilson's Promontory. Seven staff are employed, two cheesemakers and the remaining part time casual staff. Our milk is sourced locally from selected passionate farmers who produce premium milk. We use both cow and buffalo milk. In all we collect the milk from three herds. We pride ourselves in nurturing a warm friendly and supportive work environment and are rewarded with a fun loving happy and cohesive team.

How do you use the Sydney Royal medal artwork or promote your win through your marketing efforts?

The gold medal art work is primari ly used on our products.

How long have you been entering the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show?

We first began entering the show in 2009, 2 years after establishing the business. We have entered every year since then.
