2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show Poster Promotion
Information on how to enter the competition and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions of entry. This may be amended or varied from time to time by the Promoter. By entering the Prize Draw the Entrant is deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of these terms of entry. Entry into the Promotion is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
2. WHO CAN ENTER
2.1. Subject to Clause 2.2, only NSW residents are permitted to enter the Competition. If the entrant is under the age of 18 years, permission to enter the Competition must be obtained from the entrant’s parent or guardian.
2.2. Entry to the Competition is not permitted to employees of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW ("RAS") Marketing or Heritage departments, Competition Judges/Officials and their families... Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1. The Competition will be conducted at the RAS main office, located at 1 Showground Road, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW 2127 during two periods.
3.1.1. From 6.00AM AEDST 15 February 2021 to 11.59PM AEDST 17 March 2021 ("entry period").
3.1.2. From 8.00AM AEST 1 April 2021 to 11.59PM AEST 12 April 2021 ("judging period").
3.2. The Marketing department of the RAS retains all responsibility for the creation and running of the competition.
3.3. Entry into the competition will be valid on the submission of an original piece of artwork to promote the 2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show during the competition period.
3.4. Subject to Clause 4.3, the entry must be a minimum size of A3 and can be created in any genre or medium. Digital artwork will need to also be submitted as a high-res PDF, 300dpi, no bigger than 10MB.
3.5. The time of entry will, in each case, be the receipted time that the artwork is delivered (during the designated times as promoted on www.rasnsw.com.au) to the RAS either in person at 1 Showground Road, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW 2127 - Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm only - or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org during the competition entry period. Entries will be deemed to be received at the time they are recorded as being received and fully registered by the RAS, not at the time they were sent by the Entrant.
3.6. This competition is a game of skill. The finalists will be selected by the RAS judging panel and the winner will be judged by public voting during the judging period. The winner is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
3.7. The Promoters, their agents, affiliates or representatives will not be liable for any lost, late or misdirected entries.
3.8. Entrants (including winner) in the Promotion may enter as many times as they like and therefore enter multiple times.
4. HOW TO WIN
4.1. Each entrant who has entered the Promotion over the Promotion Period and registered all details in accordance with clauses 2 and 3 will be entered into the first judging period - "Finalist Judging". The (6) six finalists will be entered into the second judging period - "Winner Judging".
4.1.1. The "Finalist Judging" will take place on 22 March 2021 at Level 1, RAS Admin Building. Judging will be conducted by RAS representatives and witnessed by the RAS Heritage Centre Manager. The (6) six finalists selected will be determined by the RAS Representatives/Judging Panel from all valid entries.
4.1.2. The "Winner Judging" will take place from 1 April 2021 to 12 April 2021 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. All Finalists selected during the "Finalist Judging" will be on display at the Heritage Pavilion, where a people's choice vote will take place allowing the public to register their vote via the provided online portal. The public may only register one vote per person.
4.2. The People's Choice voting (Winner Judging) will be collated, with the winner announced on 13 April 2021.
4.3. The "Finalist Judging" criteria will be based on the following in relation to the theme of '2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show - celebrating the past whilst looking forward to the future of Agriculture in Australia' -
4.3.1. The creativity and originality of the artwork.
4.3.2. Interpretation and Appropriateness of the theme.
4.3.3. Quality of composition.
4.3.4. Overall impression of the artwork.
4.4. The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, in connection with the arrangement for supply of the goods by any person to the prize winner. This clause does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws.
4.5. The Promoters reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoters, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions of entry, or who has, in the opinion of the Promoters, engaged in conduct in entering the promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the promotion and/or Promoters. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoters become aware that the winner and/or the winner's entry is of a type described in this clause.
4.6. The Promoters reserve the right to request winners to provide proof of identity or proof of residency at their nominated address in order to claim the prize. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the prize will be forfeited in whole and no substitute will be offered, subject to approval by the Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing ("OLGR").
4.7. The winner will be notified via phone call. The winner agrees to have their name posted on the Easter Show and RAS Facebook page. If there is a dispute as to the identity of the winner, the RAS reserves the right, subject to approval by the OLGR, to determine the identity of the winner.
4.8. The RAS has the right to terminate the prize draw at any time during the period.
5.1. There will be a total of one (1) winner and (6) six finalists awarded.
5.1.1. The winner will receive a cash prize of $1,822.00 (including GST) (AUD), plus the promotion and recognition of their entry (via name on the art) during the promotion of the 2022 Sydney Royal Easter Show and the RAS.
5.1.2. Each finalist will receive a double pass voucher to the 2021 Sydney Royal Easter Show - valued at $87.00 (including GST).
5.1.3. Total prize pool will be valued at a minimum of $2,344.00 (including GST).
5.2. RAS shall have no liability for any expenses incurred by entrants when entering the competition. Prize does not include accommodation, spending money or travel.
5.3. Vouchers will be mailed out to winners prior to the 1 April 2021.
5.4. In the event that the prize is unavailable, the RAS reserves the right to substitute the item with that of equal value, subject to approval from OLGR.
5.5. Prize winners will receive vouchers to redeem their prize. The winners will be subject to, and must abide by the terms and conditions of any third parties, including but not limited to, the venues the winners will attend. Any breach of such terms and conditions may affect the ability to receive benefits of the prize. In that case, such benefits will be forfeited.
5.6. In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all footage relating to the Promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed.
5.7. The winners grant the Promoters a perpetual and exclusive licence to use the competition entry, plus any footage and photographs in all media taken as per clause 4.6, worldwide to promote the RAS and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, including the sale of replicated posters. The winner will not be entitled to any compensation whatsoever for such use.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1. The Promoters shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Neither are the Promoters responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the entrant or for any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilised in this Promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
6.2. If for any reason, this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoters reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition subject to any written directions given under State Legislation.
6.3. The Promoters reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoters have reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoters' legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
7.1. All entries remain the property of Royal Agricultural Society of NSW.
