A desire to make sustainable long-term decisions is one of the motivating factors behind Jessica Clark undertaking the AWRI Advanced Viticulture course, with soils and water conservation top of mind.

Understanding the link between the vineyard and the winery is vital, and one Jessica believes will not only reduce unnecessary physical work but will enhance the quality of wine produced and, more importantly, the taste.

The ongoing benefits of vines in the ground and functioning longer will lead to enormous gains for the Australian wine industry as vineyards learn to address climate change.
