Honey, Mead and Beeswax tutorial

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) will host a one day Honey, Mead and Beeswax Tutorial at Sydney Showground on Monday 4 November 2019.

The tutorial aims to educate Exhibitors to improve their honey and beeswax production and instruct those interested in judging honey and wax products at regional Shows.

With an increasing interest in beekeeping across Australia, the 2019 Sydney Royal National Honey Show saw a 25% increase in entries.

Renowned Judge and industry legend, Mr Bruce White OAM, has judged at the Sydney Royal National Honey Show for more than 30 years. Bruce is committed to sharing his knowledge and expertise with enthusiastic beekeepers who want to produce winning honey.

Mr Steve Kirby of Stone Dog Meadery will unlock the secrets to successful mead production. As an artisan producer and judge, Steve will share his experience to help improve your results.

Ms Cate Burton is the 'Queen B' of all things beeswax. Cate will share her passion and knowledge of candle production and beeswax moulding to make your beeswax products stand out from the crowd!

Bees are at the heart of Australian agriculture, with two thirds of Australian agricultural production benefitting from bee pollination.

The RAS continues to celebrate excellence in Australian agriculture through educational initiatives.
