Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Produce Show to go ahead in February 2021
Posted on : 28 September 2020
One of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’s (RAS) largest competitions, the Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Produce Show will once again kick-start the Sydney Royal calendar after being given the green light to take place in February 2021.
The competition welcomes over 750 entries annually across almost 100 divisions and aims to celebrate the Australian Cheese and Dairy industry and drive its continued growth and development. Categories range from butter and ice cream to camel and buffalo milk blends.
By entering into the competition, exhibitors have the chance to benchmark their products against industry standards and receive invaluable feedback from world-class experts which can then be used to advance not only their own products but the entire industry.
With over 30 years’ experience, Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy Produce Show Chair of Judges, Mark Livermore knows what it takes to create award-winning products and says entering competitions such as Sydney Royal can open exhibitors up to new ideas.
“The advancement of the Australian cheese and dairy industry relies on the efforts of all producers, and competitions such as Sydney Royal provide a real identifiable recognition of product quality, a recognition which can then be used to access new markets while our judges feedback offers a launching pad for future development and growth,” Mr Livermore said.
“I encourage all manufacturers to enter the Show as a strong indication to our markets that the dairy industry has worked through the issues presented by the pandemic and is now in a position to meet the desires of consumers.”
Entries for the 2021 Sydney Royal Cheese and Dairy produce Show will open Monday 28th September and close Wednesday, 21st October 2020 with judging to take place between 15 – 18th February 2021.
