NSW - the dessert queen

Stressed spelled backwards is desserts, and the Sydney Royal Cheese & Dairy Produce Show judges can't stress highly enough that NSW is home of the best dairy desserts in Australia!

Awarding seven Champion titles during the competition for dessert-style products, all went to NSW, from gelato, ice cream and sorbet to cream, dairy dessert and even cream.

Champion Full Cream Ice Cream or Gelato is Pistacchio Siciliano from Gelateria Gondola, an amazing small-batch hand-crafted gelateria in Chatswood boasting an incredible range of gourmet and traditional flavours, whilst Champion Ice Cream or Frozen Yoghurt went to Pure Gelato's Strawberry Ripple Yoghurt, a repeat award winner. Pure Gelato, located in Croydon Park, also received the title of Champion Novel Ice Cream or Gelato for their Gelato Filled Wafer Cannoli.

Enmore's Cow & The Moon produces the Champion Gelato, their Vanilla Bean Gelato is made in-house every day and proves a classic taste never goes out of style. Another classic winning a Champion title was Ruby and Roy's Natural Greek Strained Yoghurt, the Champion Yoghurt or Cultured Milk Product for The Fabulous Fresh Bros Pty Ltd in Smithfield.

It's not dessert without cream, and the Champion Cream is from Wagga Wagga, Riverina Fresh Pty Ltd's Fresh Cream, whilst the Champion Dairy Dessert is Bekaa Dairies Rice Pudding from Granville - a modern twist on a Middle Eastern tradition.

No need to cross the border for some dairy sweetness... it's all right here in NSW.
