May the odds be ever in your flavour

Forget Switzerland, Denmark and Ecuador as the chocolate capitals of the world. Currently, Australia has raised the bar (chocolate that is) in producing medal quality chocolates.

The results from the 2018 Callebaut Sydney Royal Chocolate Show has shown the high calibre of exhibitors that are currently creating chocolate in Australia, which definitely left a sweet note with Sydney Royal Chocolate Chair of Judges, Jodie Van de Velden. 

“We were extremely pleased with the high quality of exhibits entered, and this has been clearly reflected in the number of medals awarded, compared to the previous year.” She said.

This year, 75% of exhibits who entered the prestigious competition won either a Bronze, Silver or a Gold Sydney Royal Medal; thus proving that the quality chocolate that Australia is currently producing is certainly high.

Champions from the Callebaut Sydney Royal Chocolate Show will be announced on Friday 21 September at the Sydney Royal Taste of Excellence Awards with results available on the RAS website on the 22 September 2018.
