Over two intense days of judging the Sydney Royal Branded Meat judges assessed fifty entries, including 12 in domestic and export lamb. Every entry in the lamb competition was deemed medal-worthy, delivering excellent results for lamb lovers across Australia. Australian sheep meat production is on the rise, and according to Sydney Royal judges, the quality is as well.
For the first time in the history of the Branded Meat competition, the Dick Stone Perpetual Trophy for Branded Meat Grand Champion was awarded to a lamb producer, with Woodward Foods Australia Export Lamb named as the best-branded meat across eight classes including pork and beef.
