Deniz Karaca – Callebaut Sydney Royal Chocolate Show Judge

The Callebaut Sydney Royal Chocolate Show will not only be bringing world class chocolate to Sydney Showground, but also world class chocolatiers to judge Australia’s finest. First on the list is Executive Pastry Chef and Chocolatier, Deniz Karaca. Starting his career at just 16 years of age, Karaca established his reputation in 2012 when he was named the #1 Chocolatier in Australia and Asia. In 2013, he was ranked in the top three in the world at the World Chocolate Masters and in 2016 he was named Australian Patissier of the year.

Today, Karaca runs Cuvee Chocolate, Australia’s only artisan chocolate crafted to compliment wine. Founded in 2014, the chocolatier and his wife, Kylie, wanted to create chocolate that could be paired with wine without “compromising either”.

With a world of experience and expertise behind him, this is Karaca’s second year as a Sydney Royal judge.

Judging at the 2018 Callebaut Sydney Royal Chocolate Show will take place on 1 September during the smooth fm Festival of Chocolate. You can find out more about the competition here
