Call for Expressions of Interest:  Independent Board Director

The Royal Agricultural Society (of NSW) Foundation (RASF) invites nominations from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the role of Independent Board Director.

The RASF is the charitable arm of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and was created in 2007.  Our mission is to support the development of sustainable & resilient regional & rural communities by promoting individual and community growth via educational scholarships and community grants.

In accordance with the RASF Constitution, the Board is comprised of 4 Directors from the Royal Agricultural Society and a minimum of 3 Independent Directors appointed by the Board. 

The RASF is seeking active Board members with a commitment to rural and regional NSW and its future, with diverse skills, abilities and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Education and skills development in a rural setting
  • Fundraising and philanthropy
  • Governance in a not for profit organisation
  • Rural and regional communities

Board Directors are expected to work collaboratively with other board directors and the Executive Officer to advance the interests of the RASF. Individuals are invited to express their interest for appointment to the board for a 3-year renewable term.    This is an honorary role.

Applications should be emailed to and headed “Application for Director - your name” and received by 5pm AEST on 22 November 2020.

  1. A submission addressing the desired criteria and how your skills will contribute to the success of the organisation (maximum 800 words)
  2. Contact details of two referees
  3. A full resume (maximum 2 pages)
