Sheep Hoof & Hook Competition - Secondary Schools Competition

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Sheep Hoof & Hook competition for secondary schools at Illabo Show provides students with an opportunity to apply husbandry and feeding practices to their sheep and have their results judged on the hook.

By preparing sheep for a market date, students understand the concept of preparation for a show/sale window and how their management processes will assist or prevent the stock being market ready.

Students have the opportunity to examine the fleece and carcase traits of the sheep they have raised and shown and compare with other animals of the same and different breeds at the show.

The 2018 competition has already been held.  Results can be seen in the 2018 Results Catalogue.
