The Horse Competitions are among the most exciting events at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, and they attract some of the largest audiences.

Guidelines for Performance The 2019 - 2020 Guidelines for Performance are now avalaible. There have been changes to these guidelines so please read carefully. To assist you to record your performances please also find a Performance Record Sheet attached. Feel free to print this off and use it as a record as you gain your performance. At time of your online entry, you will need to re-enter this information. Please note: There will be no additional performance after the close of entries. Please note for any Agricultural Shows running supplementary shows, it is a requirement to have more than one month between these two shows. Exhibitor Information Guide Please read the Exhibitor Information Guide carefully before arriving at the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show. Please note the the 2020 Judging Timetable will not be avaliable until mid October 2019. Access to Sydney Showground NO PASS - NO ACCESS As in previous years entry tickets or correct accreditation is required to access Sydney Showground at all times. Exhibitor tickets will be mailed to you prior to your arrival on the showground. Withdrawal/ Non - Attendance Withdrawals must be submitted using the Withdrawal Form or from the Horse Section Office during Show. Refer to Special Horse Regulations 34 and 35 below. 34. WITHDRAWALS: Withdrawals submitted prior to 7:00am on the day on which the Class is scheduled to take place will NOT attract a withdrawal fee. 35. ABSENT PENALTY: Exhibitors who do not withdraw by 7:00am on the day on which the Class is scheduled must pay an Absent Penalty of $150 for each Exhibit or Exhibitor not present in each and every event for which the horse or rider has been nominated (except pairs and teams - This does not include the Parent & Child Class). Withdrawals received prior to MONDAY 9 MARCH 2020 may be eligible for a refund of Entry Fees (an administration fee of $16 will be retained per entry per Class). The refund is paid at the discretion of the Committee upon notification. No Entry Fee refunds will be issued for withdrawals received after this date. Withdrawals received prior to MONDAY 30 MARCH 2020 may be eligible for a refund of stabling fees paid. No refunds for stabling fees will be issued after this date. Further: WITHDRAWALS from Gents, Ladies and Childs Hack and Show Hunter Classes. Entries are permitted in Gents, Ladies and Childs Hack and Show hunter Classes. However, the Exhibit may only compete in ONE of the three Classes. Entries into these classes is required at time of entry and transfers between these are not permitted. Exhibitors must confirm their intention to start in their chosen Class by 7.00am on the morning of the Class. You must withdraw from classes that you are not competing in. Failure to withdraw from the Class(es) you are not competing in will result in an Absent fine ($150). Acceptance Fees for these three Classes will not be refunded. Please note: If an Exhibit has won its Open Class, it is permitted to be withdrawn from Gent's, Ladies & Child’s Classes with no withdrawal penalty. Hendra Information All exhibits from Hendra endemic postcode areas must be vaccinated for Hendra Virus. Please refer to the Hendra Policies and Procedures if you reside in these areas. Treatment Notification Form Click here to download Treatment Notification Information. A TNF Form must be submitted to the vet office by 6pm the day before competition. Competitions are conducted in accordance with the General Regulations of the RAS of NSW. How to enter Please complete the Expression of Interest Survey by Tuesday 14 January 2020. Entry Fee: $110 payable at time of acceptance. Competitors will be selected by a panel and notified in early February 2020. Up to 15 Competitors will be invited by the RAS Horse Committee to compete. General selection guidelines Up to the top 5 placed riders from the previous SRES World Championship Campdraft Up to the highest placed 5 Riders from the ABCRA Open National Standings as at the closing date of for entries, in the current points year ABCRA Champion Lady Rider in the current points year Previous Warwick Gold Cup Winner Previous Canning Downs Winner Previous Paradise Lagoons Open Draft Winner Leading Australian Campdraft Association Open Rider as at the closing date of entries, in the current points year Leading Southern Campdraft Association Champion Rider as at the closing date of entries, in the current points year Leading Gippsland Campdrafting Association Open Championship Competitor as at the closing date of entries, in the current point’s year.
