Established in 2005, the Sydney Royal Branded Beef Competition judges MSA-certified Australian beef. Striploins are judged in three different feed-based classes: grass fed, grain fed and open, as well as a speciality shabu-shabu class.

Established in 2005, the Sydney Royal Branded Beef Competition judges MSA-certified Australian beef. Striploins are judged in three different feed-based classes: grass fed, grain fed and open, as well as a speciality shabu-shabu class. Judges' credentials include academic expertise and technical knowledge and include farmers, end users, chefs, food media and experienced palates. The competition is held in September every year as part of the Spring Fine Food Show.
