The 2003 Easter Show

Six-year-old Ellie Rogers was lucky enough to win tickets to the 2003 Show. As her way of saying thank you, Ellie drew this magnificent picture of the Carnival including the Wave Swinger, Ferris Wheel, Mad Mouse, Slippery slide and even the ticket booths at the entrance to the Showground.

Jimmy Sharman

Show icon, Jimmy Sharman, was honoured as the 2003 Royal Easter Show Legend.

Born in the Riverina town of Narrandera in 1912, Jimmy Sharman first came to the Royal Easter Show in 1926 where he spent a week working for his father for the colourful Jimmy Sharman's Boxing Troupe.

The famous boxing tent was established by Jimmy Sharman Snr, in 1911 and formed part of the Australian Show landscape for over seven decades.
