Forging the future of agriculture
through competition, education and events.
The Royal Agricultural
Society of NSW (RAS) is a not for profit organisation that has been helping
to shape agriculture in Australia since 1822.
Boasting a membership base of 12,000 people, the RAS is responsible
for conducting the Sydney Royal Easter Show and the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows
as well as other activities throughout the year. The RAS also manages Sydney Showground and the Australasian Animal Registry.
The RAS wishes to congratulate the seven Rural Achiever Award 2009 finalists.
The RAS Rural Achiever Award is a state wide leadership program to recognise young Australians who are engaged in their local communities and who have an interest in rural affairs.
Shannon McCormack has been chosen as the RAS Rural Achiever NSW representative for 2009 to go on to represent the State at the National Rural Ambassador Competition in 2010.
