The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is a not for profit organisation that has been helping to shape agriculture in Australia since 1822. Boasting a membership base of 12,000 people, the RAS is responsible for conducting the Sydney Royal Easter Show and the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows as well as other activities throughout the year. The RAS also manages Sydney Showground and the Australasian Animal Registry.

Sydney Royal Wine Show Cellar Tasting

13 February 2010

DEVELOP THE NOSE OF A MASTER at the Sydeny Royal Cellar Tasting.

With over 2300 Australian wines to taste,be one of the first to preview the medal and trophy winners from the 2010 Show*. A selection of Sydney Royal Medal winning food will be available for sampling and purchase. The day is hosted by MC Peter Bourne, known as ‘The Wine Man’.  

Tickets are $65 incl. GST (or $70 at the door) and include:

  • FREE half hour judges’ tutorial.
  • PLUS FREE cheese and wine matching tutorial with Lyndey Milan, author of ‘The Best Collection fast fabulous food’. Limited places available.
  • One Riedel wine glass valued at $20 for you to take home.

World Sheep & Wool Congress 2010

This year sees Sydney hosting the 2010 World Sheep and Wool Congress with delegates from over 14 countries attending this significant international event.

The congress fosters the exchange of technical and business information among producers, processors, researchers, marketers and government agencies. The program features a line-up of internationally renowned speakers discussing a wide range of contemporary issues affecting supply chain integrity in the global sheep and wool industries.

The RAS is proud to be a diamond sponsor of this event which is to be held during April this year, to coincide with the Sydney Royal Easter Show. RAS Members are invited to register and attend this important international congress.
