All Roads to the Royal
Connecting Rural Youth with the Sydney Royal Easter Show
It is with great pleasure that the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of New South Wales invites your school to apply for the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show (SRES) All Roads to the Royal Program. The program offers a unique, fully funded experience of the Sydney Royal Easter Show across four days, 15-18 April 2019. This program, in its inaugural year, has been designed by the RAS Youth Group, individuals aged 18-35, who are passionate about rural NSW and ensuring RAS initiatives are education focused and continue to capture the potential of rural youth.
The All Roads to the Royal Program is fully funded including return transport, accommodation and meals, with an itinerary that includes exclusive behind-the-scenes tours. A maximum of forty places are available comprising students, teachers and parents as required and is open to students in Years 9-12. This experience aims to address the disproportionate access to the SRES for rural students who are often geographically isolated as well as foster an interest in agriculture through education and exposure to our world-class competitions. It is hoped the program will inspire students to pursue careers that contribute to rural Australia, facilitated by opportunities for students to network with industry leaders.
