RAS Council and Board

The Royal Agricultural Society's Council is made up of 54 Councillors, being the representative body of the RAS Members.

Mr Glenn Dudley is the President of the RAS.

The expertise of RAS Councillors covers a wide variety of rural, business and professional pursuits.

Councillors serve the RAS on an honorary basis and meet for two days every two months to discuss the RAS business including the organisation and staging of the Royal Easter Show competitions. The Board, an elected group of RAS Councillors, addresses the key financial and business issues of the Society.

A number of Councillors have followed in the footsteps of their forebears, with some representing the third, fourth and fifth generations to be appointed to the RAS Council. Indeed, early Councillors came from the pioneering families who helped establish the roots and shaped the direction of Australian agriculture.

Mr Peter King is the Chief Executive of the RAS.
