Scholarships reopen to NSW VET students
Posted on : 08 November 2017
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) Foundation is again supporting education in rural NSW throughscholarships of up to $6,000 for students studying Vocational Education Training (VET) courses.
The scholarships are available for individuals studying at registered NSW VET institutions such as TAFE or local colleges and who demonstrate a passion for a career that will strengthen our rural and regional communities.
Cecilia Logan, Manager of the RAS Foundation says the organisation is excited to be able to once again offer a helping hand to students through the VET scholarships programs.
"We all know study can be a costly exercise so the RASF is very pleased to be able to offer financial assistance to students who are displaying a passion for learning and a keenness to give back to their local communities," she said.
"It is important that skills are not lost from our regional and rural communities, so helping students undertake a range of post-school studies, whether it be in the mechanical trades, agriculture or community services is something the RAS Foundation is very pleased to be able to be part of," Ms Logan said.
Scholarships are valued up to $6,000 for full time students and $3,000 for part time students.
Applicants must be enrolled in or are applying for study in any accredited VET course at an approved Australian education provider and must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Applications close 11 February 2018.
