2020 National Poultry Show Cancelled
Due to increased public concern, to protect the health of stakeholders and visitors, and in response to the Prime Minister and COAG’s direction that any organised mass gathering over 500 people should be cancelled, the 2020 National Poultry Show is cancelled.
It is extremely disappointing to cancel the Show for 2020 and there are many people who will be directly impacted by this decision.
The safety and well-being of our exhibitors, patrons and visitors is paramount and in response to direction by NSW Health and the Australian Government, the National Poultry Show committee has decided this is the best course of action.
We appreciate that the cancellation of the Show is a huge disappointment for the Poultry community, particularly exhibitors and visitors who often travel across Australia for the largest poultry Show in the Southern Hemisphere, affectionately known as the “Chicken Olympics”.
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) will refund all entry fees and tickets that have been paid for the 2020 Show, including parking, the Presentation Dinner and the Judges Development workshop.
We are implementing a number of measures to deal with refunds of your entry fees and will be in touch within the next five working days with an update on this process.
We appreciate your understanding regarding the safety of exhibitors and visitors during this public health emergency and thank you for your patience while we work through the logistics of cancelling such a large-scale event.
