SPONSORSHIP EXECUTIVE
The Royal Agricultural Society
of NSW (RAS) is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Sponsorship
Executive to drive the sponsorship program of the Sydney Royal Easter
Show and the Sydney Royal Wine, Dairy and Fine Food Shows. The
events are huge, the reputation is second to none and the opportunity to grow
the role and make it your own is limited only by your career goals and
ambition.
Reporting to the Sponsorship
Manager, the focus of this role will be to assist in the procurement of
sponsorship from corporate Australia
and coordinate sponsor activities during the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Australia’s
largest annual event. One of the primary focuses of this role will be
to seek sponsors for the agricultural components of the Show. We imagine
that many of these might come from companies with a focus in agriculture.
Demonstrable experience in and knowledge of the agricultural industry
will be key to success in this role.
The person we seek
is a proactive team player that will seek out and deliver innovative sponsorship
packages. You have a background in sales, particularly in the procurement
and management of sponsorship partnerships.
You possess
excellent customer service, interpersonal and communications skills
including well developed telephone sales skills, combined with a
demonstrable track record in sales. You are not afraid to make a phone
call and will be responsible for lead generation and achieving sales
targets.
You are a
confident self starter with a great personality and not afraid to knock
on a corporate door. The ability to develop great relationships with a
broad range of potential clients and key stakeholders is essential.
Knowledge and understanding of Australia’s
agricultural industry will most certainly set you on the path to success
in this role.
